Lead Attorney - Personal Injury

An established and growing personal injury practice is urgently seeking a Lead Attorney to take ownership of and build out its litigation department. This is a key leadership hire due to an upcoming departure, and the firm is moving quickly and considering multiple candidate pipelines.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, aggressive attorney who thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment and is excited about building and leading a department.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Lead / Managing Attorney for the litigation function
- Handle and oversee personal injury matters from pre-litigation through resolution
- Take an active role in case strategy, negotiations, and settlements
- Drive cases toward maximum value with an assertive, client-first approach
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction as the litigation team grows
- Help build and scale the litigation department long-term
- Represent clients in court; trial work is highly valued
Qualifications
- Strong personal injury experience required
- Trial experience is a major plus
- Experience in additional practice areas is a bonus
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and lead legal initiatives
- Confident, driven, and comfortable pushing for top-dollar outcomes

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus: 5% on closed cases
